Montparnasse Tower

The Montparnasse Tower has been claiming for a few years to have the “most beautiful view of Paris”. We do confirm that, without any doubt. The terrace on the last floor of the tower has been rearranged recently in order to receive more people and to offer them a fabulous panoramic view of the Capital.

Even if it is indeed possible to have great views over Paris from different places in town (Montmartre, Eiffel Tower, Belleville Garden), the Montparnasse Tower proposes without a doubt the most central vision, in order to distinguish precisely all main places of interest of Paris.

The greatest view of Paris…

The panoramic terrace is disposed on two floors.

  • From the first one, covered and closed, you have a great view together with displays helping you to locate the major places of interest.
  • The second one is an outdoor terrace (at a height of more than 200m), from which you can enjoy an all-round view. And even if the panes of glass surrounding the terrace can be a little frustrating, the spot is still extraordinary. You will for example have an incomparable view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars, the Invalides or the Tuileries Garden.

…By day or by night.

You should also know that the terrace is open every day till night (see useful informations). There is a big difference between the views during the day and at night, and we couldn’t tell you which one is best, they have both their charm all their own.

But by going there at night, when all the lights over Paris are on, you will understand why Paris is called the “city of lights”… Either way, just pick a day without any clouds in the sky (which is pretty seldom in Paris…) to visit the tower: it would be too bad if you can’t enjoy it fully.
